Shipping policy

How our books are made and sent

Every Trumpet Publishing House book is printed to order. Your copy does not exist until you buy it, so every order has two stages: production, while your book is being printed and bound, and delivery, while it travels to you.

We print through partner facilities in the United Kingdom and the United States, with some titles produced in Canada. Your order is printed at the facility nearest to your delivery address wherever possible, which shortens delivery and reduces cost. This means a book ordered in Australia and the same book ordered in Texas may be printed on different continents.

Where we ship

We ship to Australia, the United Kingdom, the European Union, Canada, and the United States. For destinations outside these, contact us before ordering and we will confirm whether we can deliver and at what cost.

Estimated production and delivery times

These are estimates, not guaranteed delivery dates.

Bespoke items have a lead time window because they are made from scratch and include an inscription approval step before printing begins.

Production and delivery times can be affected by our printers, customs, and carriers, and are longer during peak periods. A delay against these estimates is not in itself grounds for a refund.

If your order is late

If your order has not arrived after 10 weeks for paperbacks and hardcovers, or 12 weeks for bespoke orders, please contact us.

• If the book has entered production, we will issue a full refund.
• If it has been produced or is in transit, we will trace it with the carrier and see it delivered or replaced.

Shipping costs

Shipping is calculated at checkout based on your destination, the format, and the weight of your order. The cost is shown before you pay.

Customs, duties, and import taxes

Orders shipped internationally may attract customs duties, import taxes, or handling fees charged by the destination country. These are set by our own government, are not included in the price you pay us, and are the recipient's responsibility.

We cannot predict or absorb these costs. Where a parcel is refused or returned because import charges were not paid, we are unable to refund the order.

Tracking

Where tracked shipping is used, we will send tracking details once your order leaves the printing facility. Please note that tracking begins at dispatch, not at the point of order, because your book spends the first part of its journey in production.

Delivery addresses

Please check your delivery address carefully before completing your order. Because books go into production quickly, we cannot always change an address after an order is placed.

Where a parcel is undeliverable or returned because of an incorrect or incomplete address, we can reship it at your cost. We are not able to refund an order returned for this reason.

Multiple items and split deliveries

An order containing several titles may arrive in more than one parcel, and parcels may arrive on different days, because titles are sometimes produced at different facilities or in different formats. You will not be charged extra shipping for a split delivery.

Lost or missing parcels

If tracking shows your parcel as delivered but you have not received it, please check with others at the address and with your local carrier first, then contact us. If a parcel is confirmed lost in transit, we will reprint and resend your order at our cost.

Damaged on arrival

If your book arrives damaged, please see our Return and refund policy for what to send us. In short: photographs of the damage, the whole book, the outer box, and the shipping label, within 14 days of delivery.

Digital editions

Digital editions are delivered by [email or account access] immediately after purchase and are not shipped. See our Return and refund policy for the terms that apply to digital products.
