Collection: Theresa D'Antonio

Theresa D'Antonio lived the story she tells. The Last Don's Mistress is her own account of the private life and times of Joe Bonanno, Sr., written from inside it rather than reconstructed from the record afterwards.

The manuscript reached publication through her son, who would not let his mother's book sit in a drawer. Trumpet Publishing House is its first publisher, and the edition exists because the testimony of the one person actually in the room is worth more than any amount of secondhand history about the same man.

You get the version nobody else could give.
